Heavy rain expected in Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has reported that monsoon air continues to influence the entire country.

Currently, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is observed in some areas of Koshi and Madhes provinces.

Light rain is also occurring sporadically in Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

According to the bulletin issued this morning, heavy rain with thunder and lightning is expected in isolated locations within Madhes Province.

For Friday afternoon, the Division has forecasted generally cloudy conditions nationwide.

There is a likelihood of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in various parts of all provinces.

Heavy rain may occur in one or two places in Bagmati and Lumbini provinces.

Friday night is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy across the country.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Heavy rain may affect one or two areas in Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini provinces.

In the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is anticipated in various locations across all provinces.

The Division has advised residents in Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini provinces to remain cautious due to the potential for heavy rain in these areas.
