KATHMANDU: India has set a target of 179 runs for Nepal in their ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup match on Tuesday.
The game is currently being played at the Dambulla ground in Sri Lanka.
After winning the toss, India chose to bat first, scoring 178 runs for the loss of three wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Shafali Verma was the top scorer for India with 81 runs, followed by Dayalan Hemalatha with 47 runs and Jemimah Rodrigues with 28 runs.
On the bowling front, Sita Rana Magar took two wickets, while Kabita Joshi claimed one wicket for Nepal.
Nepal must win this match to advance to the next stage of the tournament.
India currently leads the Group A scoreboard with four points.
Nepal and Pakistan are tied with two points each, holding second and third positions respectively based on run rate, with one win and one loss each. UAE, also in Group A, has yet to score any points.
