UML finalizes names of new ministers in Bagmati Province

KATHMANDU: As the Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN-UML agree to share power in Bagmati Province, the UML has finalized the names of its new ministers.

However, the party has yet to finalize the specific ministries for these new ministers.

According to the agreement, Bahadur Singh Lama, the parliamentary party leader of the NC, staked his claim to the post of Chief Minister (CM) of the province with the support of 64 lawmakers from the NC and CPN-UML.

The individuals poised to be new ministers in the province from UML are Prakash Shrestha (Kathmandu), Prem Bhakta Maharjan (Lalitpur), Aman Maskey (Kathmandu), Krishna Silwal (Chitwan), Sukmaya Tamang (Sindhuli), and Kiran Thapa Magar (Bhaktapur).

Except for Prakash Shrestha, UML has introduced five new faces in the provincial Cabinet this time.
