Heavy rain expected in some provinces including Bagmati

KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has stated that the monsoon system is currently affecting extensive areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with the eastern part of Lumbini Province.

Local and westerly winds are influencing the remaining provinces.

Currently, the weather is predominantly cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the rest of the country remains generally clear.

Light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning has been reported in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy nationwide.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and other parts of Lumbini.

Additionally, heavy rain is likely in isolated places across Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki regions, and the hilly areas of Lumbini.

Tonight, the weather will be mainly clear in the hilly areas including Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, while other parts of the country will also see clear conditions.

There is a chance of heavy rain at one or two places in Koshi, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces during the night.
