Pizza restaurant operated by Nepali in Portugal wins international award



LISBON: A restaurant operated by a Nepali in Portugal has won an international award.

The Forno d’Oro Pizza Restaurant, run by Tanka Sapkota from Baglung, has been ranked 12th among the 50 best pizzerias in Europe and 10th among the world’s Neapolitan pizza establishments.

Sapkota, who has gained fame as an Italian chef, expressed his pleasure at receiving the award amidst competition from prestigious restaurants worldwide.

He views his success as a source of pride for Nepal and the Nepali community.

Sapkota dedicated his achievement to the hard work and dedication of his entire restaurant staff, as well as the support and cooperation of his relatives, customers, and well-wishers.
