Unified Socialist calls Standing Committee meeting

KATHMANDU: The Unified Socialist Party is holding a meeting of its Standing Committee on May 8.

Mohan Gautam, a central member of the party, said that the meeting aims to discuss preparations for the upcoming convention, party organization, and the progress of people’s organizations.

Notably, the selection procedure for convention representatives, ensuring a balanced representation across provinces, regions, and geography, will be a focal point of discussion.

Decisions made regarding political, organizational, and the agenda during the Standing Committee meeting will be forwarded to the central committee for approval.

Gautam emphasized the meeting’s focus on coordinating all committees tasked with managing the convention, facilitating the renewal of existing memberships, and approving new members.

With the national convention scheduled to take place in Kathmandu from June 30 to July 4, the party has directed all committees, departments, and branches to submit renewal documents and membership lists to the central office along with corresponding fees by April 27.
