Eight Nepalis deported from USA for illegal entry

KATHMANDU: Eight Nepalis who entered the United States illegally have been deported back to Nepal.

Those who reached the USA through unauthorized routes returned on Wednesday, landing at Tribhuvan International Airport around 3:30 pm, as informed by Gogan Bahadur Hamal, the Chief Immigration Officer of the Immigration Department.

After being apprehended for illegal entry, the eight Nepalis were kept under control by the United States and repatriated to Nepal via a chartered flight.

Many Nepalis often attempt to enter the USA through unauthorized means, and such cases of deportation by the US government are not uncommon.

The Immigration Office has not disclosed the exact amount spent by the individuals on their journey to the USA.
