KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has provided insights on the country’s weather, indicating a gradual improvement in the upcoming days.
Sporadic rainfall and cloudy conditions are anticipated in various parts of the country today, attributed to the partial influence of the westerly low-pressure system, commonly known as the western disturbance.
Currently, the hilly regions, including the Koshi Province, are experiencing cloudy weather. However, the Division forecasts clearer skies from Saturday onwards.
In Kathmandu Valley, the weather has cleared up since early morning today, following a light rainfall episode on Thursday evening.
The Division’s outlook suggests partly to generally cloudy conditions in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, partly cloudy skies in the hilly regions of Bagmati, Karnali, and Sudur Pashchim provinces, and mainly fair weather in the rest of the country.
Additionally, there’s a possibility of light rain in isolated areas of the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
Furthermore, there are predictions of light snowfall in a few places across the high hilly and mountainous regions for today.
