Weather expected to be clear today



KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported a general influence of westerly winds across the country, accompanied by a weak low-pressure system in the lower atmosphere over Uttar Pradesh, India.

Currently, the weather is partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while the rest of the country remains clear.

This afternoon, the Department has forecasted partly to generally cloudy weather in the hilly areas, with clear skies prevailing elsewhere.

There is a possibility of light rain in one or two locations within the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, as well as light snowfall in select high hilly and mountainous areas.

Tonight, the weather will continue to be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly parts of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, while other areas will stay clear.

The Department has advised vigilance, as light rain and snowfall may occur in some hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces over the next 24 hours.

These conditions could partially impact agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, and both road and air transport.
