Bomb threat on Vistara Flight, Nepali Army conducts search after landing at TIA

KATHMANDU: Security personnel conducted a thorough search of a Vistara Airlines flight following a bomb threat. The plane was searched after landing at Tribhuvan International Airport.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, the bomb threat was communicated via WhatsApp. All passengers were safely evacuated, and the aircraft was isolated for inspection by the bomb disposal unit of the Nepali Army.

As of now, it remains unclear whether an actual bomb was present on the flight.

The flight, with the callsign UK 155, had arrived from Delhi, landing in Kathmandu at 4:30 PM. Bomb threats have been frequent in India recently, disrupting numerous flights daily.
