Durga Prasai apprehended under ETA

KATHMANDU:  Durga Prasai, the director of B&C Medical College, Jhapa,  has been arrested by the Nepal Police on a charge of violating the Electronic Transaction Act (ETA)-2008.

A squad from the Cyber Bureau of the Nepal Police arrested him from Bhaktapur, according to Bureau Spokesperson and Superintendent of Police, Deepak Raj Awasthi.

A complaint was filed against Prasai at the Bureau under the Electronic Transaction Act. The Bureau took permission from the Kathmandu District Court to arrest him.
