PM Oli denies SPP proposal during recent visit by US official



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli clarified that no proposal regarding the State Partnership Program (SPP) was made by the US Government during the recent visit of Richard R. Verma, the US Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources.

Responding to a question from CPN (Maoist Center) lawmaker Purna Bahadur Gharti in Parliament, PM Oli stated that his discussions with Deputy Secretary Verma focused on bilateral relations and cooperation between the two nations.

He emphasized that no proposal or discussions regarding the SPP took place during their meeting.

PM Oli further assured that the government will not enter into any agreements that are against the nation’s interests or welfare.
