Heavy rainfall likely in select provinces today

KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has stated that monsoon conditions are still affecting the country.

According to the Division, weather conditions are ranging from partial to generally overcast across the country.

Some areas in the Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as isolated locations in other provinces, are experiencing light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy nationwide.

There is a likelihood of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in various regions.

Heavy rain is anticipated in a few locations within Koshi, Madhesh, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and possibly in one or two spots in other provinces.

Tonight, light to moderate rain may occur in parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with isolated showers possible in other regions.

The Division has also noted that heavy rain could affect one or two areas in Koshi and Madhesh.

Over the next 24 hours, heavy rain is forecasted for some areas in Koshi, Madhesh, and Lumbini provinces, and potentially in one or two locations in other provinces.
