NC summons leaders of sister organizations to discuss party’s street protest



KATHMANDU: The main opposition party, Nepali Congress (NC), has called upon the heads of its affiliated sister organizations, including the Nepal Women’s Association, Nepal Tarun Dal, and Nepal Student Union, to gather at the party’s central office in Sanepa.

According to NSU Chair Dujang Sherpa, all heads of sister organizations have been summoned to the party office.

Earlier, during a joint meeting of the NC central committee and parliamentary party, the main opposition party decided to initiate street protests against fraud related to cooperatives and the alleged involvement of Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane in the matter.

The district presidents of the party from Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur have also been invited.
