To demand Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane's resignation

KATHMANDU: The main opposition party, Nepali Congress, has decided to launch a series of street protests aimed at combating cooperative fraud.

The Nepali Congress announced its intent to stage a street demonstration, asserting that Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane should not retain his position due to his alleged involvement in fraudulent activities.

Furthermore, a member of the Congress Central Working Committee stated that plans are underway to unite victims of cooperative scams nationwide under the Nepali Congress banner.

Amid ongoing meetings of the Central Working Committee and the Parliamentary Party in Sanepa, the Nepali Congress has outlined its strategy to kick off the first phase of street protests, starting from Bhrikutimandap on Friday.

The protests will also be held in Pokhara, Chitwan, and Rupandehi, the party said.
