A total of 21,495 tourists visit Manang in one year



KATHMANDU: The allure of the Himalayan district of Manang continues to grow, evidenced by a significant surge in tourist arrivals.

Notably, foreign visitors are increasingly drawn to the world-renowned 10th most perilous trek and the captivating Manaslu trek.

According to data released by the Annapurna Area Conservation Project, a staggering 21,495 tourists entered the region in the Nepali month of 2080 BS.

This influx spans from mid-February to mid-April, highlighting a robust interest among international travelers.

French nationals emerged as the leading contingent among these visitors, as revealed by statistical analysis.

Dhak Bahadur Bhujel, head of the Annapurna Area Conservation Project, stated that Manang has become a preferred destination for French citizens.

The data indicates a remarkable 2,482 visits from France alone within the year.

Furthermore, statistics underscore the presence of 1,821 Israeli citizens and 1,754 German citizens exploring the charms of Manang.
