Six involved in cooperative theft cases arrested



BHADRAPUR: Police have held six persons allegedly involved in theft cases in Jhapa.

They were arrested and made public on Sunday for their alleged involvement in 13 cases of theft, including in various cooperative societies.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Krishna Kumar Chand, the accused stole Rs 3 million 16 thousand from various cooperatives and others.

A team from the District Police Office held them in coordination with the Koshi Province Police Office Biratnagar and District Police Office Sunsari.

Among the arrested are Simlal Syangtan, 30, Santa Bahadur Syangtan, 21, Sunil Syangtan, 22, Buddha Syangtan, 25, Ajaya Rana Magar, 28, and Sujan Syangtan, 21, of Makawanpur.

DSP Chand informed that two motorbikes, seven mobile phone sets, hammer and other equipment were recovered from the arrestees.
