Madhav Nepal visits UML office first time after party split

LALITPUR: Madhav Kumar Nepal, Chairman of the Unified Socialist Party, formerly of CPN-UML, made his first visit to the CPN-UML office today after he left the party in 2021.

He reached the Nepal Tulasi Lal Smriti Bhawan, the UML party office, as part of an event commemorating Nar Bahadur Karmacharya, a founding member of the Communist Party of Nepal.

The rift between UML and the Unified Socialist Party, which had reached a critical point, shows signs of mending following the establishment of a new ruling coalition.

Among the attendees at the foundation’s event were Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli, and the Chairman of Unified Socialist Party, Madhav Kumar Nepal.
