Nepali Ambassador presents credentials to German President



KATHMANDU: Dr Shail Rupakheti, the Nepali Resident Ambassador to Germany, has presented his credentials to German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

The ceremony took place on December 18 at Steinmeier’s official residence in Berlin, as confirmed by the Nepali Embassy.

Following the formal presentation, Ambassador Rupakheti had a brief meeting with President Steinmeier, where he updated him on the current political situation in Nepal, regional geopolitics, and the country’s priorities.

During the meeting, Steinmeier also spoke about Nepali President Ram Chandra Poudel’s visit to Germany earlier this year and discussed the strengthening relations between the two nations.

The ceremony was attended by senior German officials and staff from the Nepali Embassy in Berlin.
