Rain and thunder expected nationwide today

Kathmandu witnesses rainfall since early morning



KATHMANDU: The country is experiencing monsoon conditions as of Wednesday morning.

The weather across the country is partly to mostly cloudy. The Weather Forecasting Division has reported light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is occurring in some areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in a few locations in the other provinces.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to remain partly to mostly cloudy.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with a few places in the remaining provinces also experiencing similar conditions.

There is a possibility of heavy rain in the afternoon in one or two locations in Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Tonight, the weather will continue to be partly to mostly cloudy.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, Gandaki, Sudurpaschim, and Karnali provinces, with a few places in the remaining provinces also experiencing these conditions.

The bulletin issued by the Division this morning also notesd the potential for heavy rain during the night in one or two locations in Karnali, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
