Arrest of KMG Chairman Sirohiya a planned conspiracy by Home Minister Lamichhane: Senior Journalist Ghimire

KATHMANDU: Senior journalist Yubraj Ghimire has stated that the arrest of Kantipur Media Group Chairman Kailash Sirohiya appears to be a planned conspiracy orchestrated by Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane, who is alleged to be involved in a cooperative fraud case.

Speaking with Kantipur Television, Ghimire remarked that the arrest of a media operator from their media house is an attack on the media itself and highlighted it as an act against democracy.

Police arrested Sirohiya from the Thapathali office of Kantipur Media Group (KMG).

Earlier, the Dhanusha District Court granted permission to district police to issue an arrest warrant against Chairman Sirohiya on a dual citizenship issue.
