Bank deposits witness Rs 26 billion surge



Kathmandu: Bank deposits have surged by Rs 26 billion, according to statistics released by the Nepal Bankers’ Association.

In the month of Baisakh of the current fiscal year, the total deposits of banks have reached Rs 26.19 billion.

This marks a notable increase from Rs 5.441 trillion at the end of Chaitra, now standing at Rs 5.468 trillion by the end of Baisakh.

Conversely, during this period, bank loans have decreased by Rs 15.19 billion.

Until the end of Chaitra, banks had lent Rs 4.536 trillion, which has decreased to Rs 4.521 trillion by the end of Baisakh.
