KATHMANDU: The government’s policies and programs, delivered by President Ram Chandra Poudel on May 14, have been tabled for discussion in the parliament amidst protests by the main opposition party, Nepali Congress (NC).

The session commenced with an address by NC Deputy General Secretary Bhadri Pandey.

Following Pandey’s address, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal presented the government’s policies and programs.

The NC has been continuously obstructing parliamentary proceedings, demanding the formation of a parliamentary committee to investigate Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane’s alleged involvement in a cooperative fraud case.
