Dhanusha Court grants permission to issue arrest warrant against KMG Chairman Kailash Sirohiya

KATHMANDU: The Dhanusha District Court has granted permission to district police to issue an arrest warrant against Chairman of Kantipur Media Group, Kailash Sirohiya on dual citizenship issue.

Sources said that a bench of Dhanusha District Court judge Chitra Bahadur Gurung granted the police to issue arrest warrant against Sirohiya on Tuesday.

The arrest warrant has been issued against Sirohiya following allegations of fraudulent citizenship submissions to multiple institutions.

It is reported that two citizenships bearing the same number, yet with different details, have surfaced, raising suspicions of identity fraud.

A complaint lodged at the Dhanusha District Police Office implicated Sirohiya in the acquisition of citizenship through deceptive means.
