KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has issued a warning for an impending storm in the Tarai belt of Lumbini and Koshi provinces, urging residents to take necessary precautions.

As the country experiences the partial influence of westerly winds and local weather patterns, the current weather conditions are predominantly fair across the nation, with partial cloud cover observed in Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces.

This afternoon, hilly areas in the Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces may experience partly cloudy conditions, while the weather is expected to remain fair in the rest of the country.

The Division has indicated the possibility of brief rainfall at isolated locations in the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

Additionally, light snowfall may occur at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of these provinces.

Tonight, the forecast predicts partly cloudy weather in the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, with fair conditions prevailing elsewhere in the country.

There is a chance of light snowfall at isolated locations in the high-hilly and mountainous regions of these provinces during the night.

Furthermore, the Division has highlighted the likelihood of storm activity at one or two places in the Madhes and Koshi provinces tonight, emphasizing the importance of preparedness and caution among residents.
