6,000 plus devotees throng Pathibhara in a day



TAPLEJUNG: As many as 6,438 devotees including foreigners visited Pathibhara temple, one of the holy shrines in the country, on a single day on Saturday.

The Pathibhara Area Development Committee said that the number of visitors increased on Saturday due to favorable weather and the timing of Chaite Dashain.

Generally, the number of devotees is higher on Saturdays and Tuesdays, officials said.

More human resources were deployed on Saturday for the management after the massive number of visitors.

The Committee said that altogether 168,468 devotees worshiped in the temple last year.
