KATHMANDU: Nepal is set to clash with Bahrain today in a match under the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers.

Originally slated to be held in Nepal, the game has been relocated to Bahrain due to damages to the country’s sole international venue, the Dasharath Stadium.

Tonight, Nepal takes on Bahrain in the second round of Asia qualifiers at Bahrain’s national stadium, kicking off at 12:45 pm local time.

Following their previous defeats, Nepal is determined to turn the tide in their favor.

Having lost their first two matches against UAE and Yemen, Nepal is striving for a much-needed victory to bolster their position in Group H.

Despite setbacks, Nepal’s journey to the second round signals their resilience, having overcome Laos in the initial round.

With only the top two teams from the group securing a spot in the Asia Cup and the chance for two teams to advance to the third round of World Cup qualifiers, every match is critical.

For Nepal, success against Bahrain could reignite their campaign for football glory.
