KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ announced that the government has successfully regained the ownership of public land valued at Rs 800 billion.

During a meeting with a delegation led by Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) today, PM Dahal highlighted the recent court ruling in favor of reclaiming the Lalita Niwas land.

He stated that the Lalita Niwas area has been reclaimed by the government due to its proactive initiatives.

The delegation, led by RPP Chair Rajendra Lingden, acknowledged the government’s “good initiatives” during the meeting, urging further improvements in performance.

PM Dahal emphasized that all political parties should express gratitude to the government for its actions, particularly its investigation into the fake Bhutanese refugee scam, the Lalita Niwas land grab scam, and the gold smuggling case.

“The court’s favorable verdict is a result of the government’s serious approach to the fake Bhutanese refugee scam, Lalita Niwas land embezzlement, and gold smuggling. The government arrested the accused individuals, conducted thorough investigations, and presented the case in court. Consequently, the court has delivered a positive verdict, returning Lalita Niwas land worth Rs 800 billion to government ownership,” explained PM Dahal.

On a separate note, the Prime Minister refrained from commenting on RPP’s decision to take to the streets with its agenda of revocation of federal republic state and establishment of Hindu state with constitutional monarchy, stating, “We are working towards concluding the peace process and expect your movement to be peaceful as well.”

During the meeting, the RPP handed over a 40-point-memorandum to the PM outlining the party’s perspective.
