KATHMANDU: Four committees of the Federal Parliament are scheduled to meet on Friday at the Parliament Secretariat office in Singha Durbar.

The Women and Social Affairs Committee will convene at 11:00 am to conduct a progress review of the work of its subcommittees. This review aims to assess the current status of various initiatives and streamline future strategies to address social issues and promote gender equity.
The Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee is set to meet at 12:30 am. The agenda for this session includes a detailed discussion on the Shaheed Dasharath Chand University of Health Sciences Bill, 2023.
The proposed legislation is expected to enhance the country’s healthcare education infrastructure and improve access to medical training and research.
At 11:30 am, the Legislative Management Committee will gather to deliberate on the Nepal Legal Practitioners Council (Second Amendment) Bill, 2024. This session will include consultations with legal experts, reflecting the committee’s commitment to refining legal frameworks governing the legal profession in Nepal.
Simultaneously, the Federalism Enablement and National Concerns Committee will meet at 11:30 am to discuss findings from recent on-site monitoring visits conducted by its members. The discussion will also outline upcoming programs to fortify federal governance and address national concerns.
