The domestic gold market in Nepal saw a significant decline, with prices falling by Rs 800 per tola to Rs 155,600, while silver dropped by Rs 10 to Rs 1,880 per tola.

Gold prices plummet in domestic market on Thursday

The domestic gold market on Thursday experienced a decline, with prices dropping by Rs 800 per tola.

The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Associations reported that fine gold was priced at Rs 155,600 per tola, a decrease from Rs 156,400 the previous day.

Additionally, silver prices also fell, decreasing by Rs 10 per tola, bringing the current price to Rs 1,880 per tola, down from Rs 1,890 on Wednesday.

In the international market, gold is valued at $2,562.41 per ounce, while silver is trading at $30.40 per ounce.

Foodmandu launches Bada Dashain campaign

Foodmandu, Nepal’s pioneering food delivery service, kicked off its Bada Dhamaka Campaign, running from September 19 to October 9.

The company highlights that this month’s Double Dhamaka Campaign, typically held in the first week of each month, is particularly advantageous during the Bada Dashain festival.

The Bada Dhamaka Campaign features discounts of up to 50 percent on all menu items from over 60 select restaurants in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan.

Inesha Bhattarai, the Brand and Marketing Manager at Foodmandu, expressed that the objective is to enhance the Dashain celebration for customers.

Sonam’s festive offer

Nepali brand Sonam has launched a festive offer in celebration of Dashain and Tihar, featuring an enticing discount of up to 70 percent.

This promotion will be available from September 17 to October 5 this year.

The offer includes a wide selection of high-quality jackets, trousers, shorts, gloves, gym vests, sweaters, coats, and trekking wear, as well as tents and bags for women, men, and children.

This discount will also apply at Sonam’s locations outside the Kathmandu Valley, including Lakeside and New Road in Pokhara, Butwal, Birendranagar, Chitwan, Hetanda, Dharan, and Birtamode.
