KATHMANDU: The opposition parties, spearheaded by the Nepali Congress, have intensified their efforts to address the cooperative case, demanding a parliamentary inquiry committee both within the chambers and on the streets.
Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leader Gyanendra Bahadur Shahi voiced concerns about Speaker Devraj Ghimire’s impartiality during a post-House of Representatives meeting.
“Our stance on the cooperative matter is firm,” he emphasized, noting the opposition’s consensus on the Speaker’s failure to uphold his official duties.
Despite Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda’s confidence vote proceeding amidst opposition obstruction, the incident hasn’t escaped parliamentary scrutiny, signaling a brewing confrontation over governance transparency.
