PM Dahal secures vote of confidence with 157 in favor



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM)Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has secured a vote of confidence for the fourth time.

During Monday’s session of the House of Representatives, PM Dahal garnered the necessary support to reaffirm his position as Prime Minister.

Notably, for the third consecutive time, he attained 157 votes in favor of the confidence motion.

However, MP Prem Suwal of the Nepal Majodoor and Kisan Party abstained from voting for either side.

Meanwhile, major opposition parties, including the Nepali Congress, refrained from participating in the voting process.

The vote of confidence was conducted amidst vocal dissent from key opposition parties, such as the Nepali Congress, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Loktantrik Samajwadi Party, and Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal.
