Fire destroys 20 shutters of Damauli



TANAHU: A huge fire erupted in the shutters of the main chowk at Damauli, the headquarters of Tanahun, late last night.

The blaze began around 1:00 am in the shutters located in the Byas Municipality-3 Main Chowk.

Approximately 20 shutters were completely destroyed by the fire, with estimated damages amounting to lakhs of rupees.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Deepak Kumar Rai of the District Police Office Tanahun reported that the fire was fully brought under control after three hours of efforts.

According to police, the fire was extinguished around 4:00 am with the help of four fire engines from the Tanahun Hydropower Project, Muglin Pokhara Road Project, and Byas Municipality.

The Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and local residents all contributed to controlling the blaze.
