KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently experiencing a partial influence of westerly winds, local winds, and a low-pressure area around Bihar.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the weather is partly to generally cloudy in the hilly areas of the country, while the remaining areas are mostly clear.

In the afternoon, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy to mostly clear in the rest of the hilly areas of the country.

There is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning at a few places in the hilly areas of Koshi Province and a couple of places in the hilly areas of Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.

There is a possibility of rain and snowfall in a couple of places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of the country.

At night, the weather will remain partly cloudy to mostly clear in the hilly areas of the country, and partly cloudy to mostly clear in the rest of the country, according to the Division.

There is also a chance of light rain with thunder and lightning at a couple of places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.

As there is a possibility of partial impact on air traffic, the Division has urged all concerned to take necessary precautions.
