Sports Minister and ICC Chairman discuss cricket development and national pride projects



KATHMANDU: Sports Minister Biraj Bhakta Shrestha and International Cricket Council (ICC) Chair Greg Barclay held discussions at the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Singha Durbar on Wednesday.

During the meeting, they discussed national pride projects, the installation of floodlights at the TU Cricket Ground, cooperation with the ICC, among other topics.

ICC Chair Greg Barclay expressed his enthusiasm and commitment to supporting Nepal’s efforts in cricket development, recognizing its growing popularity and importance on the international stage.

Minister Shrestha welcomed the ICC’s support and emphasized the ministry’s dedication to enhancing cricket as a medium for youth empowerment and national pride.

Additionally, the minister mentioned the inclusion of sports infrastructure building in the national pride projects.
