Fire survivors of Hatuwagadhi receive financial aid

BHOJPUR: Chief Minister of Koshi Province, Kedar Karki accompanied by Province Assembly member Binod Bantawa and Sirjana Rai made an on-site inspection of Hatuwagadhi fire-ravaged area.

Likewise, he handed over assistance amount to the fire victim families on behalf of the province government.

The aid amount of Rs 100,000 each was handed to the families of the children who were burnt to death in the fire incident at Hatuwagadhi-7, Patlepani on March 16.

It may be noted that Pranish Karki, 5, Dipsika Karki, 7, and Diunis Karki, 3 had lost their lives to the fire accident.

Chief Minister Karki said although the province government would distribute relief through the District Administration Office, they came home to help the affected families at the earliest.

Though financial aid in the face of human loss would be negligible, the amount was given to the victim’s family in order to provide some relief, he said.

A team led by the Chief Minister has monitored the ongoing construction of a bridge at Chuhar of Dudhkoshi connecting Bhojpur with Tarai districts of Hatuwagadhi Rural Municipality-9, Hasanpur and Velka Municipality-7, Mainamaini.
