NA meeting: Finance Minister to address pre-budget queries



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the National Assembly (NA) is taking place at 11:30 am at the Federal Parliament building in New Baneswor.

During today’s meeting, the Chairman of the National Assembly will propose the members for the Business Advisory Committee.

Furthermore, Sonam Gelzen Sherpa, Chairman of the Federalism Strengthening and National Concerns Committee, will introduce a proposal to examine the 2080 study report regarding human-wildlife conflict in national parks, wildlife sanctuaries, and intermediate areas.

The main agenda for today’s meeting involves deliberating the principles and priorities outlined in the Appropriation Bill for the upcoming fiscal year 2081-082.

Of particular importance, Finance Minister Barshaman Pun is slated to address inquiries pertaining to the Appropriation Bill’s principles and priorities.

Additionally, Minister Pun will table a proposal for the ‘Secure Transactions (First Amendment) Bill, 2080 to be referred to the Legislation Management Committee for quarterly discussion.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal will also present a proposal to review the amendments made by the House of Representatives on the Monitoring and Evaluation Bill, 2076.

Moreover, a proposal will be tabled to re-approve the Monitoring and Evaluation Bill, 2076, incorporating the amendments endorsed by the House of Representatives.
