RBB employee arrested for embezzling 13.7 million rupees using fake Connect IPS account



BIRGUNJ: A Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) employee has been apprehended for embezzling 13.7 million rupees by creating a fraudulent Connect IPS transaction and transferring the amount to an unauthorized individual’s account.

Rohit Kumar Ojha, an office assistant at the Pokhariya branch of the National Commerce Bank located in Birgunj, was taken under control by the National Investigation Department (NRD).

Ojha reportedly executed unauthorized transfers totaling the mentioned amount13.7 million rupees, not only to his personal account but also to accounts of other individuals.

Further investigations by the authorities are underway to gather more details about the incident.
