Incumbent coalition govt’s only agenda is criticizing UML: KP Oli

KATHMANDU: In a stern critique, former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist-Leninist (CPN-UML), KP Oli, lambasted the incumbent government, alleging a glaring absence of an agenda for the prosperity of the nation.

Speaking at the central committee meeting held at the party headquarters in Chyasal, Lalitpur on Tuesday, Oli asserted that the coalition government, led by CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ is solely focused on criticizing the main opposition party UML.

“This coalition has only one agenda – opposition to the UML. There is no agenda for development, no agenda for good governance. There is no agenda to combat corruption. There is no plan to address the issues of farmers, workers, or other aspects of social life,” remarked UML Chair Oli, highlighting what he sees as a lack of comprehensive plans from the current administration.

Oli further scrutinized the achievements of Prime Minister Dahal, asserting that the government’s acknowledgment of failure within one year, coupled with promises of success in the next six months, confirms its overall ineffectiveness.
