Westerly winds affecting weather patterns across Nepal



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that westerly winds are currently influencing weather patterns across the country.

According to the Division, the weather is partly cloudy in the hilly regions, including Koshi Province, while the rest of the country remains mostly clear.

Fog has been observed in some areas of the Terai and valley, with patches of mist in a few places.

This afternoon, the weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki Provinces, while the rest of the country will experience generally clear skies.

Tonight, the weather will remain partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali Provinces, with clear weather in the rest of the country.

The Division has urged the public to exercise caution, as fog is expected in some parts of the Terai and valley in the morning.

This could impact daily life, tourism, mountaineering, road transport, and aviation.
