PHC approves new ambassadors for 16 countries



KATHMANDU: The Parliamentary Hearing Committee has approved the names of proposed ambassadors for 16 countries.

Chairperson Ishwari Neupane informed that the committee approved 16 out of the 17 ambassadors recommended by the government.in a meeting held at Singh Durbar on Thursday.

However, the nomination of Ram Krishna Bhattarai as the ambassador to Sri Lanka was not approved due to questions regarding his educational qualifications.

The committee will further discuss his candidacy in the next meeting after receiving his educational qualification certificate.
