KATHMANDU: Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has announced that the current government is dedicated to bringing the peace process to a successful conclusion.

Speaking at a program in Kathmandu on Monday, Minister Lekhak highlighted that the peace process is now in its final stages.

He expressed confidence that the coalition government, formed by the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML, would achieve lasting peace and good governance while addressing public discontent.

Lekhak argued that the alliance between the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML aims to transform political instability-induced despair into hope.

Despite ensuring inclusion through the federal democratic republican system, Minister Lekhak acknowledged that public resentment has been rising due to ongoing political instability.

Additionally, Minister Lekhak announced plans to establish an Immigration Office in Tinkar, Darchula district, to enhance connectivity between Sudurpaschim Province and both India and China.
