President extends best wishes to Nepali team participating in Paris Olympics



KATHMANDU: President Ramchandra Paudel saw off the Nepali athletes participating in the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games, extending his best wishes for their success during a program organized at the Rashtrapati Bhawan, Sheetal Niwas.

On this occasion, the President emphasized the importance of sports as a means to elevate the nation’s profile on the international stage.

He encouraged the Nepali athletes to compete in the Olympic Games with high morale and expressed confidence in their ability to uphold the country’s prestige.

He urged them to participate with dedication and determination.

President Paudel handed the national flag to Tanka Lal Ghising, member-secretary of the National Sports Council and Nepal’s Chef de Mission for the Paris Olympics.

Minister for Youth and Sports, Teju Lal Chaudhary, also extended his best wishes to the athletes, urging them to perform with the highest level of self-confidence.

The farewell program was attended by Nepal Olympic Committee President Jeevan Ram Shrestha, as well as the sportspersons and instructors participating in the 33rd Summer Olympic Games in Paris.
