One killed, two injured in road accident in Butwal



LUMBINI: One person was killed and two others injured after being struck by an ambulance in Butwal Sub-Metropolis-13 along the East-West Highway.

The deceased has been identified as 56-year-old Kamala Nepali of Butwal-11 Devinagar, according to the Area Police Office in Butwal.

The accident occurred this morning when the ambulance (Lu. 1 Ja.531), transporting a patient from Argakhanchi to Butwal, hit them near a suspension bridge.

The injured, 55-year-old Harikala Nepali and 35-year-old Jhupa Thatrai of Devinagar, are currently receiving treatment at Lumbini Regional Hospital.

The ambulance driver, Narayan Bahadur Magar from Panini Rural Municipality-7 of Argakhanchi, has been taken into custody for necessary action, police reported.
