Ghumti-Ranitari road closed for 16 days for upgrades



KATHMANDU: The Ghumti-Ranitari road, an alternative route to the Damauli-Jamune section of the Prithviraj Highway, will be closed to traffic for the next 16 days for road upgrades.

The closure will remain in effect until June 3.

According to Mukesh Kumar Yadav, a sub-engineer from the Infrastructure Development Office, the section from Ranitari to Harshpur is currently closed.

The upgrading project affects areas in Ward No. 3 and 7 of Myagde Rural Municipality and Ranitari of Byas Municipality-5.

The 9.452 km road is undergoing extensive upgrading and expansion, with 62 percent of the work completed so far, according to sub-engineer Yadav.
