CHITWAN: Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, Damodar Bhandari, has pledged the government’s commitment to introduce a new policy aimed at rejuvenating defunct or ailing industries.
Speaking at the inauguration of an industrial exhibition and information technology fair in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-10, Chitwan district, Minister Bhandari emphasized the need for comprehensive discussions to develop this new policy.
He assured that in the upcoming fiscal year’s policy, program, and budget, each province would be guaranteed at least one industrial area.
Minister Bhandari expressed determination to transform current despondency among entrepreneurs and industrialists into hope, promising government action to stimulate economic growth.
Highlighting the government’s focus on the success of the upcoming third Investment Summit, he revealed plans to introduce policies aimed at increasing the consumption of domestic goods and promoting start-ups.
He stressed the importance of timely amendments to the industry policy to bolster domestic production.
Minister Bhandari acknowledged that policy inconsistencies among the three tiers of government have hindered economic activities and pledged to address these challenges to foster progress.
