Prachanda likely to serve full term as PM: KP Oli

KATHMANDU: Chairman of the ruling CPN-UML party, KP Oli, has stated that Chairman of the Maoist Center, Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, will most probably continue as Prime Minister for the full term.

UML Chairman Oli made these remarks during a press conference organized by Press Chautari Kailali in Dhangadhi on Tuesday.

When questioned by the media about ‘gentleman’s agreement’ within the coalition to rotate the prime ministerial position, Oli expressed disinterest in assuming the role himself, stating, “I don’t even want to become the Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, leaders from the UML-Maoist alliance assert that there has been an understanding between the two parties for Oli to serve two remaining term as Prime Minister.
