Weather: WDF predicts scattered to light rain in hilly areas

KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division (WFD) has reported a partial influence of the western low-pressure system combined with local winds in Nepal.

According to the Division, hilly areas of the country, including Koshi province, are experiencing mostly clear weather.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to be clear in hilly regions alongside partly to mostly cloudy skies elsewhere.

There’s a chance of scattered to light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some hilly areas.

Additionally, light snowfall is possible in isolated spots across high hilly and Himalayan regions.

Tonight, hilly areas will maintain clear conditions.

However, there’s a likelihood of light snowfall in select locations of the high hills and Himalayan areas within the Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali regions.

Given the potential for light snowfall in these highland and Himalayan regions, daily life activities such as agriculture, health services, tourism, mountain climbing, and transportation, both road and air, may experience partial disruptions in affected areas.
