Considering the diverse opinions on the report to be presented by General Secretary Thapa, party President Sher Bahadur Deuba has convened a meeting of the office bearers and ex-office bearers on Monday evening.
Reportedly, Deuba and Thapa hold different views on the party’s stance regarding forming an electoral alliance.
General Secretary Thapa wants the Mahasamiti meeting to commit not to form a coalition before the general election, whereas President Deuba regards it as too early to make such commitments.
