Westerly winds influence weather patterns in Kathmandu Valley



KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Valley, like other regions across the country, is experiencing the impact of westerly winds, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

The westerly winds, it said, have contributed to partly cloudy to generally clear mornings in Kathmandu Valley.

Even within the Valley, the influence of westerly winds brings about some cloud cover, it said.

However, according to the Division, there is no expectation of rain in Kathmandu Valley for today.

Meanwhile, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley has climbed to 7.8 degrees Celsius today.

At 5:45 am today, the Valley recorded a minimum temperature of 7.8 degrees Celsius.

Likewise, the maximum temperature in the Valley today is anticipated to range between 21 to 23 degrees Celsius.

According to the Division, the temperature in Kathmandu Valley is gradually rising.
